Chanel Resort 2009 Collection
Water Project
9.125" x 11.4", 7.5" x 9"
Water was an essential part in making CHANEL's Resort 2009 Collection successful. Based on this I created a book, showing imagery of water in various conditions, a few well chosen looks from the show's collection, and a set of corresponding Pantone colors. The beauty of water textures reflect in the fabrics used in the collection.
In a smaller spread tucked inside a larger spread fabric is juxtaposed with the imagery of water. On the back of the imagery of fabric, to stimulate the reader viewer, perforated swatches of Pantone colors can be removed for another level of appreciation.
The book also contains two posters. The first poster displays all the outfits from the show, which allows the viewer to appreciate the collection in its entireity and also understand the origination of fabrics. The second poster shows three colors chosen from each outfit corresponding to the looks displayed on the first poster.
